Barbara Lee-Ayers

Barbara Lee-Ayers peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 18, 2013 at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School Class of 1970. Barabara was a employed by Avondale Shipyard, Entergy, Jefferson Community Center and the Jefferson Parish Council Office under Councilman Mark Spears. Beloved wife of British Ayers. Devoted mother of Jamel (Tanica) Joseph. Grandmother of Debrianh Joseph and Jamel Joseph, Jr. Daughter of the late Elder James and LeVella Davis Lee. Granddaughter of the late Clinton Lee, Rosie Lee Allen and Albert and Rose Davis. Sister of James E. (Melba) Lee, Diane Lee-(Henry) Borne, Levon Lee, Loretta Lee-Chopin Riley, Gwendolyn Lee, Former Jefferson Parish Councilman Byron L. (Karen) Lee, Harold Blakey and the late Thelma Lee Holmes and Irene Lee. Sister in law of Warren Holmes, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.. Age: 61 years a native New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La.
