Louise Singleton Jones

Louise S. Jones, a retired employee of the Jefferson Parish School Board, departed this life on Sunday December 22, 2013 at 1:20a.m. Beloved wife of Elijah J. Jones. Devoted mother of Floyd C. (Valerie) Richards, Gregory ( Melony) Jones and the late Gloria Starks. Daughter of the late Jimmie and Orelia Singleton. Sister of the late Jimmie Singleton,Jr., Clarence Singleton, Mary Singleton, Roberta Pedescleaux, Irma Mae Marshall and, Octavia Celistan. Sister in law of Charles Pedescleaux and Louis Celistan, also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 88 years a native of Donaldsonville, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Highway Baptist Church, Franklin Avenue Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of Order of Eastern Star Queen Esther Chapter #33, Friendly Women, People of Ages, Westside Missionary Baptist Association, Westside Senior Citizens, and Marrero Senior Citizens; Employees of Ochsner Clinic and Dialysis Clinic Incorporated (DCI) are invited to attend the funeral service at Second Highway B C 1533 Haydel Dr. Marrero, La on Saturday December 28, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Sherman Smith, officiating Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the above named church.
