Joyce Inez Faulkner

Joyce Inez Faulkner, a retired nurse, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the age of 86. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Beloved wife of Lee V. Faulkner, Sr., loving mother of Carolyn Holland, Terry (Linda) Kennard, Justin (Patricia) Kennard, Leslie Nolden, Lisa (Carlton, Sr.) Langford, Lee V.(Toyane) Faulkner, Jr., Denise ( Dwayne) Simmons, Courtney (Crystal) Faulkner, Sr., and Keith Faulkner. Daughter of the late Edward and Camille Smith. Sister of Rosalind Smith, Edward J. Smith and the late Anna Mae Reed, Lloyd Smith and Clifford R. Smith. She was the grandmother of 36 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and members of St. Rock Baptist Church, Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 922 Estalote St., Harvey, LA on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Westlawn Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in memory of Joyce Faulkner.
