Solomon Percy Woods, a retired bus driver entered into eternal rest at Plaquemine Caring Center on Monday, December 30, 2013. Beloved husband of Mary Woods. Father of Napoleon Woods, Dawn Woods, Mark Woods, Melinda Carter, and Samantha Woods. Son of the late Labe Woods and Nancy Chase. Brother of Minister Harrison Stinson, Julia Crutchfield, Alma Thompson, and the late Charles Thomas also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends . Age: 79 years a native of Laurel Hill, La. and a resident of Gretna, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Paul Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Paul Baptist Church 1509 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 9:00a.m. Rev. Orin Grant officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
