Leaner Johnson Ross Riggins departed this life on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank.. Wife of the late Hilton Riggins, Sr. Loving mother of Mack (Theresa) Ross, III, Shelana Martin, Keven (Faith) Riggins, Vera (Roland) Perrilliatt, and Wanda Riggins. Stepmother of Hilton (Gerryl) Riggins, Jr. and Joan R. Slaughter. Daughter of the late Ather, Sr. and Leona Johnson. Sister of Louella Johnson. Preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters, also survived by 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends Age: 84 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Paul Baptist Church, Second Zion Baptist Church and neighboring churches. Employees of Rivarde Detention Center, Jefferson Parish School Board, and McDonalds are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Paul Baptist Church 1509 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Orin Grant officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
