Carl Bruce Watson peacefully departed this life on Friday, January 10, 2014 after a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of life. Devoted son of Ethel Watson Thompson and the late Sylvan Gorrell. Loving brother of Vanessa Watson, Sherri (Norris) Byas, Lucretia Watson and Tiffany Thompson. Uncle of Alesha and Zarrick Holmes, An'Janera Byas, Dontae' and Dyrenn Ellis, Zarreus and Zarreon Haywood. Nephew of Augustine Forbes, Rose Prevost, Betty (Albert) Martin, Sophia (Archie) Campbell, Patricia (Herbert) James, Ruby Wells, Harold, Stephen and Willie Watson. Godson of Patricia James and Stephen Watson. Godfather of Eddie Smith, Jr. and Dyrenn Ellis; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 54 years a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees and residents of The Pines of Gretna and Cypress Place Apartments, RHD; staff and doctors of West Jefferson Dialysis and CCU unit, West Care, Fresenius and Maxima Home Health are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave., Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Bishop J.
