BERZAT Clarence J. Berzat, "Tank", a native of New Orleans and resident of LaPlace died suddenly on Saturday, January 18, 2014. Age 69 years. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Berzat, brothers, Paul and Michael Berzat, sisters, Velda B. Roberts, Gail B. Paul and Brenda B. Ford. Clarence worked for 30+ years as a Federal Command Investigator for Naval Support Activity and served as a basketball referee for 35+ years. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church (formerly Holy Ghost), 2015 Louisiana Avenue, on Fri., Jan. 24, 2014 from 8:30 - 10:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Interment immediately following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Services entrusted to Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA 70053.
