Imogene Charles Smith went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 24, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Walter Smith, Jr. Devoted mother of Valencia Smith. Grandmother of Asia Smith. Daughter of the late Felix, Sr. and Sophie Charles. Sister of Shirley C. Ricard, Randolph Charles and the late Melvina C. Frederick, Curtin, Dave, Felix, Jr., Edward, Lawrence and Donald Charles and Lionel McDonald. Granddaughter of the late Lawrence and Orelia "Mama Felo" Johnson; also survived by 9 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 68 years, a native and lifelong resident of Algiers (Cutoff), LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of Eureka Benevolent Society and L.B.
