Kevin Sims, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 2:50p.m. He was a graduate of West Jefferson High School and an employee of Leson Chevrolet. Loving husband of Shavonne Helton-Sims. Devoted father of Kevon Sims, Kevin Sims, Jr., Klarke Sims, Tevin Sims, Kenneth Morton, Uyvonne Russell, Unqueia Russell, and Ciera Helton. Son of Willie Sims and the late Irene Sims. Brother of Bryant Sims and Shawanda Turner. Grandson of the late Rev. Morris Stewart; also survived by 5 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 47 years a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Leson Chevrolet are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Road, Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
