Rita "MaDear" Lilly Bellock Hampton departed this life on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at her residence. Beloved wife of the late Willie Hampton, Sr. Loving mother of Tienney (Valarie) Shellmir, Edward (Tyesha) Shellmir all of Los Angeles, CA, Willie (Natachia) Hampton, Joseph Hampton , Lionel Hampton, Shelia (Carl) Johnson, Carmenzetta (Clarence) Moten, Clara Hampton and the late Annette Hampton. Daughter of the late Clara and Edward Joseph Bellock. Sister of the late Mercedes London and Ray Bellock, Sr. Sister-in-law of the late Irene Bellock; also survived by 31 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 89 years, a native of McComb, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Joseph Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Joseph Baptist Church, 236 Robinson Ave. Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 12:00p.m. Pastor Melvin C. Zeno, officiating Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
