August "Stump" "Pops" Roussell, a retired employee of C.E. Natco for 34 years, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at his residence. Beloved husband of Magnolia Garrison Roussell. Father of Joyce Roussell, Adrienne L. Roussell, Kevin Roussell, Sr., and Keith (Gwendolyn) Roussell. Son of the late Sylvester "Piggy" Roussell, Sr. and Augustine Harris Roussell. Brother of Augustine Hines, Mary Roussell, Verna Roussell, Audrey Vaughn and Albert Roussell. Father in law of Melvin Butler, Sr., also survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 77 years, a native of New Orleans, LA.and resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of New Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of Keystone Lodge # 3 are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Zion Baptist Church, 1131 Garden Rd. Marrero, LA. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Austin Dennis, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
