Pearlie Mae Dorsey Baker departed this life on Monday, February 17, 2014 @ 3:49p.m. at her residence. Beloved wife of 57 years to Herbert "Hose" Baker . Mother of Major (Bernadine) Burton, Gilda (Vernon) Christoff, Carolyn Ball, Alaicia Baker , Trenace (James) Jefferson and the late Patricia Burton and Marilyn Baker Bold. Stepmother of Donna Baker, Herbert Thompson, Vandelyn (James) Thompson and the late Bruce Baker . Daughter of the late Clemetine and Verdis Quinn. Sister of the late Ruby D. Brooks her twin, Henry, Dorothy, E.J., and Helen Dorsey. Mother in law of Latrell Bold and the late Stanley Ball, also survived by 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and her beloved nephew Henry Dorsey of Los Angeles CA. and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 82 years a native of Eunice, LA. and resident of Avondale, LA. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second St. John Baptist Church, Kingdom Hall and neighboring churches; employees of Schwegmann Super Market, Nichols Refinery, Wal Mart, Department of Children and Family Services, and Keller Williams Realty are invited to attend the funeral service at Second St. John Baptist Church 242 Avondale Garden Rd. Avondale, LA. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 12:00p.m. Rev. Charlie Davis officiating Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
