Barbara Ann Jones Charles went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Charles, Sr. Devoted mother of Veronica C. (Earl) Williams, Steven (Patricia) Charles, Lawrence Charles, Jr., Letrell C. Felo, Sharon Baldwin and the late Kendrick Charles. Grandmother of Rashona, Reginald, and Steven Charles, Jr., Tamika Butler, Torinisha and Janeka Felo, Trenisha Blunt, Kendrial Barrow, Kendrick, Kiera, and Joshua Green ad Devin Anderson. Great grandmother of Taliyha Webster and Terrence Butler, Jr. Daughter of the late Eli, Sr. and Josephine Lozan Jones. Sister of Marion Jones, Josephine Brown and the late Eli Jones, Jr., Vera Johnson, Joycelyn Williams and Loise Ann Williams. Daughter-in-law of the late Felix, Sr. and Sophie Charles. Sister-in-law of Terry Brown, Randolph Charles, Shirley Ricard, Mary McDonald, Carolyn and Yvonne Charles. Devoted aunt of Denise Jones; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 74 years, a native of Oakdale, LA and a lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, First Free Mission, Second Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Breaux Mart, Our Lady of Wisdom, Exceed Their Needs and former employees of Charity Hospital are invited to attend the Funeral Service at First Free Mission Baptist Church, 426 Lamarque St. Algiers, LA on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Johnny Johnson, host pastor, Rev. Norman Francis, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
