Otis Louis Hixon, Jr

Otis Louis Hixon, Jr., age 19, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. He was an avid basketball player, who also coached the youth at his church. Otis was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Waggaman, LA. Devoted son of Otis Louis Hixon, Sr. and Shelia Marie Hixon. Loving brother of Wendi, Kimberly and Jasmine Hixon. Grandson of Benny and Lou Ella Hixon and Willie Mae and Leroy Milsap. Nephew of the late Walter Milsap; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, St. Mary Baptist Church, Greater Mt Bethel Baptist Church of Hattiesburg, MS and all neighboring churches; staff and students of Miller McCoy School, Hahnville High School and L. W. Higgins High School; employees of Jefferson Parish School System, Innovative Hair Design and Wendy's (Marrero) are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 2515 Franklin Ave., New Orleans, LA on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Fred Luter, Sr. host pastor, Pastor Fred "Chip" Luter, Jr., officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
