Harold Joseph Cook

Harold Cook, Sr., a retired employee of English Turn Golf and Country Club, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at his residence. Beloved husband of Mable Wells Cook. Devoted father of Harold (Samantha) Cook, Jr., Tony (Charlotte) Cook, Don Cook, Sylvia C. (Steven) Simmons, and Gloria C. (Bryan) Shaw. Son of the late Ernest and Mathilda Cook. Brother of Emile (Doris) Cook, Barbara C. Johnson and Brenda Lewis. Nephew of Anna Mae Lewis, Adeline B. Hart and Harold Butler; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 71 years, a native and resident of Algiers, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Nazarene Baptist Church, Second Baptist Church, Asbury United Methodist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Federal City CDC and Bayou Barrier Golf Club are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Nazarene Baptist Church, 3062 Boyd St. Algiers, LA on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Peter C.
