Doris Lanetta Dixon, a childcare provider and salesperson departed this life at her residence on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 7:09p.m. Wife of Robert Dixon, Jr. Mother of Robert Dixon, Ronnie Dixon, Terrence Dixon, Darwin Dixon, Cherrie Dixon, and the late Joan Marie Black. Grandmother of the late Janeen Black. Daughter of the late Mary Osborne and George Wing. Sister of Mary Clark, Viney Williams, and the late George Wing and Alvin Wing, also survived by 26 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 80 years a native and resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church 922 Estalote Ave. Harvey, La. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Louis Harrison officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
