Philmore Hankerson, Jr

Philmore "Phil" Hankerson, Jr., a laborer for Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation Department, departed this life on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. He was a native of Chicago, IL and a resident of Marrero, LA. Phil served his country for 7 years as a member of the United States Navy. Loving father of Rhonda Hankerson, Kimberlee (Harold) Jackson, Phillip (Tiffany) Hankerson, Sr., and Tirza (Tyrone) Hankerson. Son of the late Catherine Girven and Philmore Hankerson, Sr. Brother of Rick Girven, Velma James, Babie Girvin, Brenda Girven, Thelma Hankerson and the late William Hankerson and Mary Mcgee; also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
