Geraldine Anita "GiGi, Nanny, Big Gerri" Price, age 85, departed this life at her residence on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 8:24p.m. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Harvey, LA since Hurricane Katrina. Geraldine a retired LPN was a graduate of Xavier Prep High School and Rabouin Career Nursing Program. Loving mother of Cherylann Foster (James, Sr.) Westerfield, Keith Gerard Foster (fiancée Felicia Rocker), Damien Anthony Foster and Jude Thaddeus (Brooke-Lynn) Foster. Grandmother of Janaea R. Westerfield, James "J.R." Westerfield, Jr., Jahanna R.W. (Ryan) Bailey. Jide A. Foster, Bronxton T. Foster, Britny Magee and Kristin Brooks. Great grandmother of Jordan, Ronjae, Ryleigh and Reagan Bailey, Sage Cole, Ajanai and Khayri Magee and Brilyn Johnson. Daughter of the late George Price and Beatrice Clifford Price. Sister of Maxine P. Johnson and the late Pearl Price. Former wife of 28 years to the late Kenneth Ray Foster. Devoted friend of Helen Claiborne Westerfield; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (St. Jude), St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, St. Martha Catholic Church, and members of Christian Life Bible Church; employees of Department of Health and Hospital HSS, Tulane Medical School, Chateau Le Moyne Holiday Inn French Quarter and People Health Network Case Managers; New Orleans Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. , New Orleans Section National Council of Negro Women are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will be from 8:00a.m.-9:30a.m.; Rosary at 9:30.
