Wilbert Ruffin, Sr

Wilbert "Coonie' Ruffin, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the age of 80. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Loving husband of Celeste Brooks Ruffin. Devoted father of Shirley Ruffin Crump, Jerome (Linda) Ruffin, Wilbert Ruffin, Jr. and the late Cheryl and Joan Ruffin. Son of the late Henry Ruffin, Sr. and Josephine Felo Ruffin. Brother of Alberta Anderson, Joseph Ruffin and the late Bertha Jackson, Joyce Lewis, Hannah Price and Henry Ruffin, Jr.; also survived by 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin , other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Nazarene Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Nazarene Baptist Church, 3062 Boyd St. Algiers, LA on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Peter L. Crawford, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. unitl service time at the above named church.
