Carlette Marie Ellis, a home maker, departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Jefferson Highway on Friday, May 9, 2014. Mother of Lynell Ellis, Jr., Keith Ellis, Shannon Ellis, Anthony Smith, Sr., Trinity Smith, Chelette Smith Jones, and Tirelle Smith. Daughter of the late Freddie Smith, Sr. and Betsy Blanks. Stepdaughter of the late Mack D. Blanks. Granddaughter of the late Tom Hillard, Patsy Norflin, Freddie Smith, and Cinderelle Williams. Sister of Freddie Smith, Jacob Wilson, Theodore Smith, Patsy Ambose, Adline Smith, Mattie Smith, Mary Howard, Sylvia Smith and the late Rita Hamilton, also survived 26 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 63 years a native of St. Francisville, La. and a resident of Westwego, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, members of Bethesda House of Prayer and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Bethesda House of Prayer 7601 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La. on Saturday , May 17, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
