Noreane Clofer Turner, age 60, departed this life on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at her residence. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Noreane retired from Avondale Shipyard after 27 years of service and was chief steward of Laborers International Union of North America Local 689. Loving mother of Leonard Turner, Jr., April Turner, Millicent Turner and the late Connie Marie Turner. Daughter of the late Delores and Albert Clofer. Sister of Mary A. Lawson and Willa M. Craft; also survived by 4 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of New Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Zion Baptist Church, 1131 Garden Rd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Austin Dennis, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
