Norman Lestrick, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Beloved husband of Beulah Mae Lestrick. Loving father of Norman (Stephanie) Lestrick, Jr., Robert (Courtney) Lestrick, Kendella Lestrick, Zyren Lestrick, Davion Lestrick and Sabrina Lestrick (Charles Michel). Son of the late Elsie Lestrick and Arthur Lestrick, Sr. Brother of Irene (Nashid) Salahuddin. Nephew of Elsie Lestrick Frank. Brother-in-law of Janie Mae Simmons, Ella Mae Taylor-Paul, Magdalene Gross (Joseph) Proctor, Elizabeth (Donnie) Parsons and Thomas Ruffin; also survived by 12 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 64 years, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Louisiana Department of Transportation, Jefferson Parish Recreation Dept. and Marrero Health Care Center; Lincoln High School Alumni; members of Greater New Orleans Muslim Community, Magnolia Community Services and Martin Luther King Task Force, Inc. are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 1:00p.m. Visitation will begin at 12:00p.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
