Betty Jean Chancellor Pickens entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Saturday, May 31, 2014. Wife of the late Albert Pickens. Mother of Winifred Milton of Theodore, Al., Erwin (DeWanda) Chancellor, Betty (James) Perry, Jimmie Pickens, Charles (Demetrist) Pickens, Berteal Pickens and the late Margie Ann Pickens (Mose) Butcher and Denise Sturdivant. Daughter of the late Homer and Lillie Mae Breland Chancellor. Granddaughter of the late Madison Breland and Rebecca Carter Breland. Sister of Ervin , and Clarence Chancellor, Dorothy McLaurin, Jean Marie Jones, and the late Homer Chancellor, also survived by 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 79 years a native of Flowood, Ms. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Regular Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Regular Baptist Church 901 5th St. Gretna, La. on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Rev. T.A. Hodge officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church . Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
