Ivy Pearl Edwards Walker,a retired Orleans Parish School teacher, departed this life on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the age of 59. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Ivy was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School and Southern University at New Orleans. Devoted wife of Ernest Walker. Loving mother of ShaQuinya Miyoshi Walker (Daniel) Gillard. Grandmother of Damir Daniel Gillard. Daughter of the late Lester Edwards, Sr. and Myrtle Patterson Edwards. Sister of the late Wayne Edwards and Lester Edwards, Jr. Sister-in-law of Rosetta Meeks, Pauline (Darold) Hughes, Ruby (Lionel) Miller, Willie B. (Valinda) Walker, Ronnie Walker, James Walker and Paul Walker; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
