Maggie Hutcherson Smith

Maggie Hutcherson Smith, age 98, peacefully entered into eternal on Friday, June 6, 2014 at her daughter's residence. She was a native of Boothville, LA and a resident of Algiers, LA. Beloved wife of the late Felix Smith. Loving mother of Helen Myer, Joycelyn Encalade, Patricia Mack and the late Anthony Smith, Sr. Daughter of the late Emile Hutcherson, Sr. and Saverine Avist Hutcherson. Sister of Louise Catalon and the late Marie Alexander, Martha Williams, Frances Daisy, Leona Mays, Catherine Prout, Nobert Hutcherson, Sr., and Emile Hutcherson, Jr.; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a host of great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church and neighboring churches; members of Ladies Knight of Peter Claver Saint Rita Count #36 and Catholic Daughters are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 400 Verrett St. Algiers, LA on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
