Valla Ann Thompson Knox entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Baton Rouge General Hospital. Beloved wife of Hugh Knox. Loving mother of Felicia T. Kirby of N.C., Carey S. Thompson, Michael T. Thompson, Darryl Thompson, Jennifer L. Knox of N.C., Ariel K. Fagget of San Diego, Ca., and Tracey H. Knox. Stepmother of Ardelia Johnson. Daughter of the late Walter J. and Genevieve Jackson Thompson. Sister of Genell Thompson, Jerrievelyn T. Smith Cavalier, Greta Thompson, Anita Thompson, Michael Thompson, Sr. and the late Tracey H. Thompson. Niece of Lilly Jackson. Daughter in law of the late Magnolia Jackson and Andrew Jackson, Sr. Sister in law of James Smith, Dorothy Walters, Lionel Monroe, Cynthia Hamilton, Roberta Harris, Debra Lewis, Phillip Monroe, Andrew Jackson, Jr., and Rickey Jackson, also survived by 15 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends Age: 55 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Harvey, La.
