Ethel Spencer Johnson was called home by the Lord on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at her residence. Wife of the late Huey P. Johnson. Loving mother of Linda J. Drake, Denise (Darren), Cheryl J. Rivers, Ronald (Chris) and Donald (Velma). Daughter of the late Robert and Celia Hampton Spencer Cameron. Sister of the late Dianne and Joann Spencer also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. A native of Lafourche, Louisiana and resident of Algiers, Louisiana. Relative and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches, Employees of Orleans Parish School Board, Department of Justice, USDA-NFC, Cuillier Career Center, St. Leo the Great Catholic School, Monsanto Company, LA ANG 159th Fighter Wing, Davita Dialysis, Eagan Home Health, and West Jefferson Medical Center are invited to attend the funeral service at the (Host Church) First Free Mission Baptist Church, 426 Lamarque Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70114 on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 10:00AM. Reverand Lawrence St.Cyre officiating. Visitation from 8:00AM until service time. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
