Leona Riley Johnson, age 89, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 30, 2014. She was born in Daisy, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Beloved widow of the late Albert A. Johnson, Sr. Loving mother of Janie P. Neal, Leo C. Prout, Ivy J. Prout, Sandra A. Johnson, Albert A. Johnson, Jr. and Lynn C. Johnson. Daughter of the late Ivory Bentley Riley and Evelina Garrison Riley. Sister of Shirley Riley, Ester Riley Williams, Evelyn Riley Miller and the late Elliott, Irvine, Isaiah Riley and Elvy Riley Mackey. Mother-in-law of Deborah B. Johnson; also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Mt. Pilgrim 4th Baptist Church, Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, New St. Joseph Baptist Church and Fischer Community Church are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mt. Pilgrim 4th Baptist Church, 429 Newton St., New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Larry Paul Steib, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the above named church.
