Mary Ann Carter, age 67, departed this life on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 9:15a.m. She was a native of Algiers, LA (Cutoff Community) and a resident of Harvey, LA. Loving mother of Courtney Carter and Kevin Carter. Daughter of the late Jeanerette and Audrey Duplessis. Granddaughter of the late Manuel and Mary Jackson. Sister of Senovia Byes, Roy Jackson, Richard Smith, John Duplessis, Betty Jean Thomas, Heddie Byes and the late August Jackson; also survived by 2 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Nazarine Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; L. B. Landry Class of 1965; Lower Algiers Cutoff Community; employees of Ochsner Medical Center Westbank and Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Nazarine Baptist Church, 3062 Boyd St., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Peter L.
