John Frederick Dumas, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Beloved husband of Rhonda Ellison Dumas. Father of Trichell Dumas, Veantha (Louis) Weber, John Dumas, Jr., and the late Lamont "Spark" Belle. Son of the late Marie Odette Dumas and Marie Jeffery Dumas. Grandson of the late Mary Magnolia Domino, Andrew Williams, Gentil Dumas, and Regina Jeffery. Brother of Martin (Lenora) Dumas, Gregory (Helen) Dumas, Thomas Dumas, Annette Dumas-Talford, Regina Dumas(Melvin) Walker, Agatha Dumas- Alcindor, Bernadette Dumas-Butler and the late Marcel and Paul Dumas, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 63 years a native of Marrero, La. and a resident of Vacherie, La. Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the mass of Christian burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church 455 Ames Blvd, Marrero, La. on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. and celebration of life at 9:30a.m. at the above named church.
