Miriam Johnson Eskridge Robinson departed this earthly life peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 2:30a.m. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. Miriam was a librarian and clerk for the Orleans Parish School Board for 20 years. Devoted wife of George Robinson. Loving mother of Troy and Ricky Eskridge. Stepmother of Goldenlynn Robinson. Daughter of Wilfred Johnson, Sr. and the late Eunice Johnson. Sister of Wilfred, Jr. (Betty) of Baton Rouge, LA, Aaron (Joan), Wardell, Kirk, Sr. (Sandra), Steven (Penny), Derrick, Sr.(Deborah) and Terrence Johnson, Donna Anderson, Eunice (Jake) Gutierrez, Melba (Steven) Todle of Pine Bluff, AR and Ingrid Collins; also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 aunts, 1 uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
