Jim Smith, age 82, was called to eternal rest on Friday, July 25, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Minter City, MS and a native of Westwego, LA. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann Clofer Smith and Dorothy Glenn Smith by first marriage. Father of John, Darryl, Anthony, Lynn, Glenda (Keith), and Angela Smith, Jeanine Smith Every, Tyrone Clofer (Rachel Kennedy), Jennifer and Yolanda Dixon and the late Jerome Smith. Stepfather of Linda C. Burns, James and Haywood Clofer, Sylvia C. (Ulysses) Wilkins and Patty C. (Mike) Martin. Grandfather of the late Derrick Reed, Shawn Smith and Anthony Reese. Son of the late Sherman and Lizzie Leavy Smith. Brother of Joe Willie Cox and the late John "Bill" Henry, Sherman Smith, Jr., Tommie Lee Smith, Dorothy Ellis, Jessie S. Munson, Sammie Lee Munson and LeVonnie Wince; also survived by 30 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 brothers-in-law, 2 sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members, of Little Zion B. C. #3, Morning Star M. B.
