Clevon Walker

Clevon Walker, a chef, departed this life on Monday, August 4, 2014 at West Jefferson Medical Center at the age of 74. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Clevon enjoyed cooking, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Devoted husband of 45 years to Loretta Stewart Walker. Loving father of Cledius (Bruce) Ingram, Elwanda (David, Sr.) Bourgeois, Donna Muhammed-Walker, Dentra (Kenny) Bush, and Shantell Walker(Gilbert) Arceneaux. Grandfather of Tiffany (Kevin), Malik, David, Jr., Charnay, Brinique, Brittannie, Brionne and Kelly. Son of Joseph Walker, Sr. and Irene Francis Walker. Brother of Warren, Alfred (Jessie), and Horace (Ingrid) Walker, Mary Walker Green and the late Dorothy (Nolan) Johnson, Rev. Joseph, Jr. (Doris), Johnny (Olga), Jack (Diane) and Wilbert Walker. Brother-in-law of Evelyn, Raynell (Bobby), Gwendolyn (Ronald), Michael and Issac. Godfather of Troy Walker, Magela Theriot-Stamps and Jarrette Harris; also survived by 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Highway Baptist Church, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Highway Baptist Church, 1533 Haydel Dr. Marrero, LA on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:00a.m. Pastor Sherman Smith, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
