John Edmond Davis peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 8, 2014 at LSU Interim Hospital. Father of Christohyn Wilson, Ashley Davis, Jacorbe Davis, Jessica Lee and the late Indinia King. Son of the late Dorothy Anderson and Edmond Azar. Stepson of Leonard Anderson. Grandson of the late Oliver and Mamie Glenn. Brother of Melvin J. Davis, Sr. of Columbus, GA, Calvin Davis, Beverly Davis, Deborah Davis, Laura D. Tate, Mamie D. Reed and the late Gilbert Davis. Nephew of the late Joseph Glenn; also survived by 5 grand children and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 52 years, a native of Belle Chasse, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Philadelphia Christian Church, Belivers life Family Church, New Jerusalem B. C., New Testament B. C., Locust Hill B. C. of Midland, GA, Second Nazarine B. C., Israel Light Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Philadelphia Christian Church, 3127 Gen. Meyer Ave., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Swatt, Jr., officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. unitl service time at the above named church.
