Marlon De'Wayne Bennett departed this life at his residence on Friday, August 22, 2014. Son of Donald and Ramona Bennett. Grandson of the late John and Edna Bennett, Clyde and Louella Rushing . Brother of Monica (Derrick) Brown, and DoMone Bennett. Companion of 10 years to Sabrina Ratliff. Father of Penny Reed, Briane Grant, and Carver Grant, III. Grandfather of Carle' and Brenin. Nephew of Clarence Rushing, Ollie (Earl) Lawson, Veldena Moore, Clyde (Kathleen) Rushing, Billy Ray Bennett, and the late Joanne Henderson, Richard Bennett and Earl Lawson. Uncle of Yorel Brown, Kenishia McKee, Monae Brown, Kara and Dylin Bennett (their mother Treia Colomb) and the late Derrion Dondre' Brown., also survived by a host of cousins extended family and friends. Age: 38 years a native of Long Beach, Ca. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Rock of Ages B.C., Temple of Praise Ministries, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Rock of Ages Baptist Church 6533 Acre Rd. Marrero, La. on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00a.m. Rev.
