Mercedes Howard Hart, age 90, a native of Franklin, LA. and a resident of New Orleans, LA., passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Hart. Devoted mother of Dianne (Roy) Scott, Betty (the late Leroy, Jr.) Joseph, Pamela (Russell) Young, and the late Ina (Calvin) Stevenson. Daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Howard. Sister of Etta Mae Jackson and the late Willie Howard. Preceded in death by 4 grandchildren, also survived by 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, pastors, officers and members of Willing Workers Baptist Church, Loving Four Baptist, Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church of Villa Rica, GA. and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Willing Workers Baptist Church 2715 Washington Ave. New Orleans, LA. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00A.M.
