Olivia Shannon Jackson

Olivia Shannon Jackson, a retired health service provider, departed this life at Sanctuary at Passages Hospice on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the age of 73. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Olivia was a graduate of Charity School of Nursing. Loving mother of Rhonda Lambert, Glenn Carr, Michael Shannon, Carol Shannon and Veronica Jackson. Daughter of the late James Shannon, Sr. and Ruth Charles Kelly. Sister of Ceasar Shannon, Shirley Smith and the late James Shannon, Jr. and Warren Kelly; also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of St. Joseph Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Joseph Baptist Church, 236 Robinson Ave. Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Melvin C.
