Shelitha Divinity Dominic, departed this life for a better one on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the age of 52. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Shelihta was a 1979 graduate of John Ehret High School and a continued her studies at Our Lady of Holy Cross College earning a degree in accounting. Loving wife of Valcour P. Dominic, Jr. Devoted mother of Devin (Amanda) Dominic, Jasmine and Faith Dominic. Grandmother of Kennedy McGee and Devin "DJ" Dominic, Jr. Daughter of Joseph B. Divinity, Sr. and the late Audrey Deboue Williams and Lorean Gaines Divinity. Granddaughter of the late Velma Divinity Mason, Jeanetta Deboue, Ernest Divinity, and Ellis Wilson. Sister of Trenise (Lee) Murphy, Nicole and Keyonia Divinity, Joseph B. Divinity, Jr. Kelvin and Antonia "Tony" Divinity, Ronnie Williams and the late Stanley and Robert Williams. Niece and traveling companion of Mary Lillian Harris and the late Elijah Deboue Patterson. Daughter-in-law of Marilyn Dominic. Sister-in-law of Glenda (Larry) Wilson, Jennifer Jackson, Javonda Dominic, Patrick Curtis and the late Valerie Dominic Curtis. Goddaughter of Jenette Deboue. Godmother of Jenika Watts. Special cousin of the late Kathy Divinity Thomas; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of Infant Jesus of Prague Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Primerica Insurance and Entergy; board members and staff of the Jefferson Parish Community Health Centers are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Infant Jesus of Prague Church, 700 Maple St. Harvey, LA on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m.-10:30a.m. at the above named church.
