Carolyn Stewart, age 62, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Memphis, TN. Mother of Milton Charles Riggins, Brian Michael Riggins Sr. and Tawan Deon Riggins. Daughter of the late Columbus Stewart Sr. and Constevenia Pompey Stewart. Sister of Lila Ann Lovely, Linda S. (Junior) Champagne of Chicago, Il, Nell S. (Bishop James) Whitney and the late Columbus Stewart Jr. and Tobenia S. (Charles) Thomas. Grandmother of Brandy Jenkins, Terrell, Shanequa, and Brian Riggins Jr. and Travis White. Great grandmother of Jaylen, Janai Williams and Journi Jefferson. Devoted friend of Evelyn (Effie) Washington, Jeanette and Marion Turner, Gail Hicks, Golden Girls Rosie, Gynia, Irma, and Elaine. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends, also pastors, officers and members of Power House Ministries of Memphis, TN., 2nd Zion Baptist Church, Church of God of Prophecy and all neighboring churches; employees of Red White and Blue Store, Schauck's Grocery of Memphis, TN., and Alumni of Lincoln High School class of 1969 and 1970 are invited to attend the funeral services at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00AM.
