Alberta Ruffin departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Mother of Elouise R. Hogan. Daughter of the late Elijah and Mary Ruffin. Grandmother of La'Shandra Gullage and Robert Hogan. Great grandmother of Tajia and R'mani. Sister of the late Clarence Ruffin, Isaiah Ruffin, Ethel Camp, Elouise Wilson and Missie Ruffin; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 86 years, a native of White Castle, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA since the late 60's. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Little Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Bayside Healthcare and Community Care Hospice are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Little Zion Baptist Church, 433 Avondale Garden Rd. Avondale, LA on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery-White Castle, LA.
