Katie Mae Singleton Johnson, age 73, entered into eternal rest at Belle Vie Living Center on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 8:00a.m. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Johnson, Jr. Loving mother of David (Gaynell) Johnson, Sr. of Laplace, LA, Alvin (Tonya) Johnson of Dallas, TX and the late Calvin Johnson. Stepmother of David Compton of Gonzales, LA, Jolene Compton Wilson of Dallas, TX and the late Leonard Johnson. Grandmother of the late Sherita Johnson. Daughter of the late I. C. and Estelle Singleton of Hermanville, MS. Sister of Francis McDaniel and the late J. C.,and Leroy Singleton,Leotha Neal,and Doris Tigler; also survived by 9 grand children, 10 great grandchildren, 3 godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Little Zion Baptist Church #3, Second St. John Baptist Church, Mount Zion Baptist Church of St. Rose, LA and all neighboring churches; employees of Jefferson Parish School Board, Belle Vie Living Center, and West Jefferson Medical Center are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Little Zion Baptist Church #3, 441 Wilson Rd.
