Alberta C. Moliere

Alberta C. Moliere peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the age of 104. She was a native of Franklin, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA for 97 years. Alberta was a graduate of Xavier Prep High School and was employed as a domestic worker for over 60 years to families and businesses in the New Orleans area. She was a member of Martha Grand Chapter O.E. S., Gentilly Delight #31 O.E. S., Grand Amaranth Court, Wisdom Amaranth Court #1, King Solomon Palace #1, Matron and Patron Council, VFW Auxiliary #2403, and the Emanuel Cooper Elks Society. Loving mother of Barbara Getridge-Tross, Donald L. (Helen) Getridge of Oakland, CA, Elbert L. (Carolyn) Getridge of Lewisville, TX and the late Alberta Helen Smith and Paul A. Getridge. Grandmother of the late Lisa Getridge and Cedric Smith ; also survived by 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, 3 godchildren and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Road Marrero, LA on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Gilbert Barnes, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
