Mary Elizabeth Cooper Anthony, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Devoted wife of the late Joseph Anthony, Sr. Mother of Rosalyn (Rev. Curtis) Haywood, Gregory (Deedy) Cooper, and the late Joseph Anthony, Jr. Russell and Diane Cooper. Daughter of the late Louis Cooper, Sr. and Emma Kenan. Grandmother of the late Gerald Michael Anthony. Great grandmother of the late Byron and Reginald Anthony and Haloise Haywood. Sister of Catherine Jones of North Carolina. Preceded in death by 7 sisters and 2 brothers, also survived by 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 40 great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 91 years a native of Kennethville, NC. and a resident of Algiers, LA for many years. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Loving Faith Baptist Church, St. Stephen Baptist Church, Providence Baptist Church, Fifth African Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the home going service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, INC. 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA. on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10AM.
