Michelle Parker Burton

Michelle "MeMe" Parker Burton, age 52, entered into eternal life on Monday, November 3, 2014. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Michelle was a graduate of New Orleans Public School System and a 1983 graduate of Southern University at New Orleans. She was a dedicated employee for over 28 years with Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans serving in many different capacities, most recently as Director of Incarnate Word Head Start Center. Loving and devoted mother of Ryan Louis Burton. Beloved daughter of Mary Penn Parker and the late Louis Parker, Jr. Sister of Gale P. Thompson, Dorothy M. Parker, Wendell (Roxanne) Parker, Sr., Tremeda P. (Lawrence, Jr.) Stevenson and the late Louis Parker, III. Devoted sister friend of Cathleen Baudy; also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews, 2 godchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Greater Evergreen Baptist Church, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, New Inspirational Missionary Baptist Church, True Vine Missionary Baptist Church(Westwego), Greater Turner Chapel AME Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, Incarnate Word Head Start Center, Dolores T.
