Milton Carter, Jr.

Milton "Pappy" Carter, Jr., departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the age of 65. He was a native of St. James, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Milton was a retired employee of the Jefferson Parish Water Department. Loving husband of Carolyn Scott Carter. Father of Trumaine (Laquanta) Carter, Varice Webber, Isaac Watts, Vanessa (Andre') Domino, Terry Carter and Natasha Webber. Stepfather of DeNean (Wayne) LaRoche', Sr., Michelle (Darrell) Dillon, Sr., Jerome (Laqiunta) Paul, Monica (Anthony) Poche' and Iena Paul. Son of the late Alma and Milton Carter, Sr. Brother of Alvin (Carolyn) Carter, Melvin James (Debra) Carter, Willie, Edward, and Michael Carter, Geraldine Barker, Joyce Ann Degree, Lynette Paul, Brenda John and the late Larry, Lionel, and Joseph Carter, Gertrude Dickerson, Gloria Dean Brown and Janet Benjamin. Son-in-law of the late Dorethea Jones. Brother-in-law of the late Freddie Dickerson, Curtis Barker, Jr., Luke Brown, Celestine Scott and Joyce Ann Carter; also survived by 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, employees of Jefferson Parish Water Department, West Jefferson Medical Center, Jefferson Parish Code Enforcement, and Rainbow Suzuki are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST.
