Willie Dean Cook departed this life on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank. Beloved husband of Elaine C. Cook. Stepfather of Lolita and Oscar Blunt, Mahalia Brathwaite, Noel Starks, Annette Epps, Sandra Lewis and Antira Zanders. Son of the late James M. Cook and Alberta Good; also survived by 24 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, 2 expected great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 83 years, a native of McComb, MS and a resident of Gretna, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of St. Paul Baptist church, Mount Zion Baptist church, Thompson Temple COGIC and all neighboring churches; employees of SMG Mercedes Benz Superdome, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, Jefferson Parish Clerk of Count and U.S. Postal Service of New Orleans are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Rodney Cook, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m until service time at the above named parlor.
