Sterling Derrell Blackmon, age 20, departed this life on Saturday, December 20, 2014. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Loving son of Trenice M. Blackmon and Sterling Calvin. Brother of Sherell Sparks and Tatum Calvin. Grandson of Donice Blackmon, James Bourgeois, Mary Ann Calvin and Willie Harper. Great grandson of Bobbie N. Blackmon, David Blackmon, Sr. and the late Virginia Allen and Weston Baker. Great great grandson of the late Hattie Blackmon. Nephew of Tonya, Patrice and Sidney Calvin. Great nephew of Sharon Gwendolyn Blackmon, Debra (Tyrone) Shenall, Donald Blackmon and David Blackmon. Great great nephew of Rozell Taylor, Jackie Anderson, Diane Myles, Janice Favorite, and Larry (Shelia) Blackmon. Cousin of the late David Blackmon, Jr. Godson of Carolyn Thomas and the late Roy Thomas. Godbrother of Michelle Robinson, Tameka Hampton and Derek Williams; also survived a host of other relatives and friends.
