Mother Madora J. Harris, age 91, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus. She was a native of Darrowville, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Loving mother of Daisy Royal and the late August Jones. Daughter of the late Felix Harris, Sr. and Virginia G. Harris. Sister of Clinton, Vernon, Byron, and Allen Harris, Cleo H. Simmon, Christina H. Hill, Juanita Harris, Esther H. Green, and the late Florence Duchette, Felix Harris, Jr., and Jessie Harris, Sr.; also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Progressive Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Progressive Church, 437 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Sterling Mealancon, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
