Leotha Grandison Davis

Leotha G. Davis, affectionately known as "Lee" and "Wetsy" was called from labor to reward at West Jefferson Medical Center on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the age of 74. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Throughout her life she was employed with Sears, Jefferson Parish School System, and the Council on Aging-LRS. Leotha was a member of the Pride of Oakville #149 Order of Eastern Stars. Beloved wife of Eugene Davis. Devoted mother of Juanita (Terrell) Smith, Darlene (Darrell) McKinnies, Deborah Davis and the late Sandra Davis. Daughter of the late Oliver and Hilda Jones Grandison. Sister of Eula G. (George) Lobrie, Leola G. (Matthew) Williams, Erline G. (William) Steele and the late Robert Morgan, Ulysses Morgan and Audrey G. Henderson; also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 godchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, 922 Estalote Ave. Harvey, LA on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Louis Brooks Harrison, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
