Clarence (Shot) Mitchell, Sr. entered into eternal rest at Marrero Health Care Center on Monday, January 5, 2015. Husband of Leatrice Mitchell. Father of Clarence Mitchell, Jr., Beryl Mitchell, Gaynell Green, Robin (Romalice) Claiborne, and Tyran Mitchell. Son of the late Anderson and Clodine Mitchell. Brother of Anderson (Stephanie) Mitchell, John (Bobby) Thomas, Shirley Mae Mitchell, Veronica Winzy, Neita (Anthony) Hayes, Desi Marie Jupiter, Vanessa Napoleon, and Marva Mitchell, and the late Harry, Dan, Westley, and Joseph Mitchell, Willie Mae Smith and Diane Mitchell. Nephew of Cora Champ. Brother in law of Marilyn Jones, Shirley (Sidney) Daufauchard, Dorothy Mitchell, Salvadore Duplessis, Michael Gibson, Wayne Thomas, and Kevin Thomas, also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Age: 79 years a native of Vacherie, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches. Employees of Marrero Health Care Center and West Jefferson Medical Center are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Joseph Baptist Church 236 Robinson Ave Marrero, La. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 10:00a.m Pastor Melvin Zeno officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
